The Social Interaction Institute (SII) works for a better understanding of what is uniquely human. We define social interaction as “any encounter with at least one other person in which the people attend to one another and adjust their behavior in response to one another”.

Our Origin and Purpose

The Social Interaction Institute (SII) was established to address one of the most critical questions of the 21st century: In an era of total automation, what remains uniquely human? As Artificial Intelligence, robotics, and Large Language Models (LLMs) redefine the global economy, the traditional metrics of productivity are shifting. While technology excels at routine cognitive and physical tasks, it cannot replicate the complex, non-routine biological synchronization that occurs during high-stakes human exchange. At SII, we believe that this "Human Interface" is the final and most sustainable competitive advantage for any organization.

The Science of Interaction

We define social interaction not merely as a "soft skill," but as a high-precision biological and sociological processor. Our work is grounded in the understanding that every encounter involves mutual attention and reciprocal behavioral adjustment. When these elements are synchronized, teams achieve high velocity and trust. When they are neglected—often due to digital fragmentation and remote work "noise"—organizations suffer from what we call Social Erosion. To combat this, SII has developed the APRACE™ Framework, a proprietary diagnostic model that bridges neurobiology, sociology, and data science. By deconstructing interaction into measurable modules—from individual cognitive presence to the organic flow of collective problem-solving—we make the invisible mechanisms of cooperation visible and manageable.
